"Recycled" Tablecloth

Today I am working on my display booth for our business by making a tablecloth. My inspiration is from this site:  http://www.somuchbetterwithage.com/2014/03/how-to-make-ruffled-tablecloth-trash-to/ .  I had bought some old fashioned calico cotton fabric and I found some white linen cafe curtains at a flea market. I am taking advantage of the finished hem on the cafe curtains & cutting them down to use as a ruffled edge to my calico tablecloth. I am using the whole width of my calico fabric so I have selvedges and don't have to worry about the fabric unraveling there.

Cheyenne bag

This week I am attemping to make a Cheyenne bag as a gift for my husband so he can put his shell casings into when he's at a SASS match. My inspiration for this bag comes from the photograph here: http://www.sacredways.com/mobile/product.aspx?ProductCode=jy-rosettebag&404;http://www.sacredways.com:80/product-p/jy-rosettebag.htm=  Of course mine won't turn out so pretty. And I don't have beads in the exact colors.  I will post pictures of my attempt when it is finished. Gato

We currently are in the "creative" phase of our business. That means I am busy creating my jewelry and my husband, Bill Schulze, is busy making contact with the locals. Bill got involved in cowboy shooting events shortly after our wedding last January (should I be worried ? ;). I became interested in my ancestry & discovered previously unknown native american ancestry. Since then I have been reading about eastern Native American heritage and have been endeavoring to experience it through trying my hand at Native American crafts and jewelry. Bill is also busy with Civil War history and finding about his kin. So we decided that we would open a Mercantile to help us continue on financially with our new passions. As the time passes, I will be posting pictures of the items that we have created for sale. Thank you for reading so far.  Cindy (aka Gato)
